Meet Dr. Bia Mori
Two fields of research. One connected view of health.
Dr. Marina “Bia” Mori da Cunha is a veterinary surgeon, researcher, and educator with more than 15 years of experience across small-animal medicine, surgery, emergency care, teaching, and scientific research.
Her PhDs in Veterinary Surgery and Biomedical Sciences support a cross-disciplinary approach: connecting what happens in the consultation room with the mechanisms behind disease, then translating that knowledge into clear, practical guidance.
Clinical insight
Care shaped around the whole animal, not an isolated symptom.
Clear communication
Complex evidence explained in language owners can use.
Research literacy
More than 60 peer-reviewed publications.
Owner partnership
Understanding builds confidence and better follow-through.
Two ways to consult
Care that meets you where you are.
Choose a face-to-face appointment in Brussels or a focused online consultation when quick expert feedback, distance, or continuity of care matters.
In person · Brussels
Hands-on care for cats and dogs
Physical examination, preventive planning, internal-medicine assessment, vaccination, microchipping, pet passports, and other appropriate services based on availability and your pet’s needs.
- Full clinical examination
- Preventive and internal medicine
- Clear care plan and follow-up
Online · Wherever you are
Focused guidance without the travel
A quick route to professional feedback, record review, follow-up, or guidance on appropriate next steps—especially when you or the patient are in another country.
- Discuss concerns and clinical history
- Review available records or results
- Understand urgency and next steps
Online consultations cannot replace a physical examination when one is medically required. Emergencies need immediate local veterinary care, and availability may depend on the situation and local requirements.
Whole-pet care
Prevention first. Internal medicine at the centre.
The most effective strategy is often to identify risk early, understand the underlying cause, and help owners act before a problem becomes a crisis.
01
Preventive medicine
Individual health planning, early-risk identification, lifestyle guidance, and proactive follow-up across every life stage.
02
Internal medicine
Careful investigation of symptoms, clinical history, test results, and the connections between body systems.
03
Health checks & vaccination
Routine examinations and vaccination planning shaped around age, lifestyle, travel, and individual risk.
04
Microchips & pet passports
Practical support for identification, travel documentation, and preparation for international movement.
05
Surgical & wound-care insight
Experience in soft-tissue and reconstructive surgery, wound care, and guidance around surgical decisions.
06
Feline and canine care
Thoughtful care for both cats and dogs, with particular expertise available where complex feline cases require it.
Specific procedures and in-person availability are confirmed during booking. Urgent cases should be directed to an emergency veterinary service.
The Dr. Mori approach
“Prevention first. Understanding always.”
Good veterinary care is not only about giving an answer. It is about helping you understand what may be happening, why a recommendation matters, and what to watch for next.
Prevent
Look ahead, reduce avoidable risk, and protect long-term health.
Understand
Connect symptoms, history, behaviour, environment, and evidence.
Empower
Explain clearly so owners can participate confidently in care.
Follow, learn, connect
Veterinary knowledge beyond the consultation.
